The Kamaxi College of Culinary Arts, Verna, Nagve organized the Rockstar Chef Competition and Inter-School Culinary Competition with the aim of promoting and encouraging careers in Culinary Arts among students.
The semi-final round was held on 24th September 2026, with the students of DCT’s Vasantrao Dempo HSS of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira, enthusiastically participating in the competition.
The theme for this year’s competition was “Forgotten Delicacies”, encouraging participants to explore traditional and lesser-known culinary preparations.
The competition was conducted in two categories:
1. Hot Kitchen
2. Bakery and Pastry
A total of 14 students from all three streams participated in this category.
Under Hot Kitchen, Master Aryan Mane (Commerce) successfully made it to the final round and was awarded a cash prize of ₹2,500.
Under Bakery and Pastry, Miss Anushka Laxman Padalghare (Science) showcased her culinary skills and secured a place in the final round. She was also awarded a cash prize of ₹2,500.
The final round will be held in November at Kamaxi College of Culinary Arts.
