The NSS unit of DCT’s Vasantrao Dempo HSS of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira, was inaugurated at the hands of Chief Guest Shri Nitin Raiker, Director, Directorate of Fire and Emergency services on 28th July 2025.
The chief guest planted a sapling in the school campus to mark celebration of Vanamahotsav week.
The programme commenced with NSS song sung by the XI std volunteers followed by Bharatnatyam dance by 5 students and concluded by classical vocal singing.
The NSS unit was inaugurated by lighting the traditional lamp .
The Principal Mrs. Maya Sardesai welcomed the guest and the students.
Mrs. Megha Borkar introduced the guest to the volunteers.
The NSS programme officer read out the activities to be conducted for the year.
Pinning of badges to the leaders were held at the hands of the Chief Guest and the Principal.
Vote of thanks was proposed by NSS program officer Chetan Kavlekar.
