On 28th February 2024 , National Science Day was celebrated in DCT’s Vasantrao Dempo HSS of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira.
The Resource person was Dr. Pradnyesh Satardekar, Assistant Professor in Department of Chemistry, HPSM’s Ganpat Parsekar College of Education, Harmal- Goa.
The function started by showing a video on C. V Raman and his theory ‘Raman effect’.
Principal, Ms. Minaxi Mudaliar addressed the gathering.
Introduction of Resource Person was done by Mrs. Harsha Nerurkar.
Dr. Satardekar gave a talk on ” A whiff of Science “. In his talk he told different stories related to scientific discoveries and their Day to day applications. He spoke about the discoveries made by great scientists such as Archimedes, Ramanujan, Eratosthenes.
Video presentation on different science projects made by our students were shown. Certificates were distributed to the students who made the video presentations.
Mrs. Ashwini Sawant compered the program.
