MTA (I), along with the Directorate of Higher Education, Goa and State Council of Educational Research and Training, Goa had organized Regional Conference for Mathematics teachers at SCERT building, Porvorim on 27.01.2024 and 28.01.2024.
The Conference addressed the following themes:
NEP and curricular changes in Mathematics at the school and higher education levels, Innovative practices in education and Making Mathematics accessible to every student – regional challenges.
Keynote talks (Problems and prospects of universalizing elementary mathematics education of good quality/ Teaching computational thinking through datasets), Workshops (Creating a Mathematics Laboratory in your school/ Technology – based mathematical explorations at the senior secondary and UG level), Panel discussion (NEP and the mathematics curriculum), Paper presentation and Poster presentation were the highlights of the conference.
Teachers of DCT’s Vasantrao Dempo Higher Secondary School of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira who participated were Mr. Prashant Naik, Mrs. Shraddha Prabhu, Mrs. Darshita Chari, Mrs. Swati Desai and Mrs. Ashwini Sawant.
