As a part of GOLDEN JUBILEE CELEBRATION 2025-2026, the Chemistry Department of DCT’s Vasantrao Dempo HSS of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira, organized an interclass competition for Science students on the topic Kitchen Chemistry (Reactions and Demonstrations) on 16th July 2025 in the Chemistry Laboratory from 9.30am to 1.30pm.
Two teams comprising of 2 participants from std. Xl & XII Science A, B, C and D division participated in the competition.
Total 18 teams participated in the competition.
Objective of the competition:
1)To develop research, communication and presentation skills, among the students.
2)To make the learning process more engaging and motivating.
3)To built confidence in their abilities.
4)To encourage the team work and collaboration among the participants.
Participants explained the concepts and principles behind many reactions which we carry out during our day today kitchen work using posters and live demonstrations.
Judge for the competition was Mrs. Suchitra Desai(retired chemistry teacher from Father Agnel HSS, Pilar Goa).
