On August 7, 2025, from 10.20 am to 1 pm, the Computer Science Department of DCT’s Vasantrao Dempo HSS of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira, hosted a session on “IT Industry Careers and Cybersecurity Awareness” for the students of std. XI SCI B, C, D, and XII SCI A in the AV room as part of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations 2025–26.
Resource persons were, Mr. Sahil Awasthi, the creator of SA Graphic Studio, Vice President-PR and Marketing at JCI, Vasco, Secretary at SADHBHAV, and qualified trainer under the Goa Police’s Cyber Yoddha initiative and Mr. Sudesh Subhash Salgaonkar is an IT specialist who has worked in the field for more than 15 years. He has owned Surfnetix since 2012.
The resource persons were joined by the JCI Panjim team, a community that runs training programs for students to become competent leaders in industry, government, and civil society.
Our esteemed guests were greeted and given a memento by Principal Mrs. Maya D. Sardessai.
The program was coordinated by Mrs. Toshita Raikar, who also proposed the vote of thanks.
