DCT’s Vasantrao Dempo HSS organized ALL GOA INTER H.S.S. ELOCUTION COMPETITION

The program was organized to observe the death anniversary of the former Chairman, Late Shri. Vasudeva V. Sinai Dempo. Tr. Lucia D’Souza enlightened the audience about his remarkable life journey and his invaluable contributions. The floral tributes were paid in homage to the Late Shri. Vasudeva V. Sinai Dempo by the Administrator, Mr. Rajesh Bhatikar, Principal, Mrs. Maya Sardessai, Vice Principal, Mrs. Amelia Barreto, PTA members, Mrs. Kavita Borkar and Mrs. Parveen Farooqui.

Also being the Golden Jubilee year, Principal, Mrs. Maya Sardessai, welcomed the gathering with warm words of encouragement and gratitude. A total of 15 Higher Secondaries participated in the competition. The first prize was bagged by Miss Honey Priya from Swami Vivekanand Prasarak Mandal H.S.S., Borim, the second prize went to Miss Arya Kulkarni from People’s Higher Secondary School, Mala and the third prize was received by Miss Shambhavi Soman from Purushottam Walawalkar H.S.S. Mapusa. There were two prizes for Good Attempt received by Master Sumit Sandeep Mandrekar from Damodar Higher Secondary School, Margao and Miss Sheryann Maria Noronha from St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Mapusa. The panel of judges comprised of Ma’am. Rati Bhatikar, Ma’am. Rekha Dsilva, and Ma’am. Vanaja Mudaliar.

The programme ended with a vote of thanks proposed by the Vice Principal, Mrs. Amelia Barreto. The event was compered by Tr. Valencia Afonso while the judges were introduced by Tr. Fransquinha Rodgrigues and the rules were read by Tr. Shivani Silimkhan Shetye.
