The Librarian’s Day was celebrated on 12th of August 2025 in the school library of DCT’s Vasantrao Dempo HSS of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira, in honor of Dr. S.R Ranganathan, Father of library science.
Principal Mrs. Maya Sardesai paid floral tribute to the portrait of Dr. Ranganathan and advised the students on the importance of reading everyday.
Mrs. Sneha Raikar, Libaririan, spoke on Dr. S.R Ranganathan, his 5 laws of library science and his contribution to the field of library science.
Vice Principal, Mrs. Amelia Barreto, Tr. Tulsi Bhomkar and Ms. Dhruvi Faldesai from 11th commerce, div C spoke on reading habits, the importance of reading and encouraged the students to inculcate reading habits.
The function was attended by the teachers and students.
In-charge was Librarian, Mrs. Sneha Raikar.
