DCT’s Vasantrao Dempo HSS of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira, participated in the One Act Play Competition organized by GSCERT at the district level on 17th January 2026 at Bal Bhavan.
Around 45 schools and higher secondary institutions took part in the competition. Our team performed well and qualified for the State-level finals.
The finals were held on 24th January 2026 at GSCERT. We are happy to share that our institution secured 1st place at the State level.
The students who participated in the play were Sarthak Gharse and Bhavika Haldankar from the Science stream; Bhawan Sahoo, Saavi Narvekar, Bipin, Kamakshi Dharwadkar and Pratham Shirodkar from the Arts stream; and Shraddha Sadre from the Commerce stream.
Teacher Prachi Alavani and Sir Kapil Dabolkar also acted in the play along with guiding the students. The play was written and directed by Mr. Shidesh Cundaikar.
Our school was felicitated and received First place in One Act Play Competition at the State level North District organized by GSECRT.
Mr. Shidesh Cundaicar from our school also received Best Director of the Play award.
Our school also performed the One Act Play at the National Science Day celebrated at Mushtifund High School on 27th February 2026 from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
