The All Goa Ex Serviceman Association on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Divas & Operation Sindoor organised a large scale event at Kala Academy on 26th July 2026 from 2pm to 6pm at Kala Academy.
The events were as follows:
1. Talk on the role of Indian Air force in “Operation Safeed Sagar during Kargil war & Operation Sindoor” and career prospects in Armed Forces by Air Marshal Sandesh Prabhakar Wagle F(P),PVSM, AVSM Retd.
2. Keynote Speaker General Ved Prakash Malik PVSM, AVSM Retd.(19th Chief of Army Staff) Renowned for his decisive leadership during the Kargil War 1999.
32 Cadets of DCT’s Vasantrao Dempo HSS of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira, attended the programme to witness the valour and sacrifices, honouring the supreme sacrifice and historic victory of the Indian armed forces who reclaimed the high mountain outposts in Ladakh from Pakistani infiltrators.
The day serves as an annual reminder of the grit, patriotism, and exceptional valour displayed by Indian troops under near-impossible geographical conditions.
Teacher, Mrs. Shilpa Silimcan also accompanied the school students for the function.
