Department of Geology and Geography of Dempo HSS organized a study visit to Salt Pan at Curca village on 16/04/2026.
Time: 10.30 to 11.30 am
No. of Students participated: 24 students
Teachers and staff accompanied: Mrs. Aparna Dhawalikar, Mrs. Pooja Morajkar and Mr. Mukund.
Purpose of the visit was to gain practical knowledge about the process involved in the formation of evaporite deposits (Common Salt) in the field.
Mr. Andrew Vaz, gave our students access to his salt pan, also interacted with us and gave necessary information about salt pan.
