The Annual General Body Meeting of DCT’s Vasantrao Dempo HSS of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira, was held on 18th July 2026 in the school AV room at 8:30am.
The programme commenced with an invocation dance by student Ms. Sonakshi Bhide.
Principal Mrs. Amelia Barreto welcomed all and expressed sincere appreciation to the Parent–Teacher Association (PTA) for their valuable support during the Academic year 2025–26 and congratulated the toppers in Arts, Science, and Commerce for the outstanding performance at the Goa Board Examination, February 2026. She further encouraged the teachers and parents to continue supporting the students with the same spirit and zeal in the coming year.
The Teaching and the Administrative staff members were introduced to the parents, and Class teachers for the Arts, Science, and Commerce streams were formally presented.
The Joint Secretary Mrs. Supriya Angle read the minutes of the previous AGM, and Treasurer Ms. Twinkle Fatarpekar presented the financial report.
Discretionary holidays for the year 2026-2027 were communicated to the parents.
The PTA President Mr. Rajendra Verlekar also addressed the gathering.
The outgoing Secretary Mrs. Snehal Verlekar, the Joint Secretary Mrs. Supriya Angle and PTA member Mrs. Kavita Borkar were felicitated by Vice‑Principal, Mrs. Harsha Nerurkar.
All the members were given a floral welcome .
The vote of thanks was proposed by the outgoing Joint Secretary Mrs. Snehal Verlekar, and the programme was compered by Teacher, Ms. Vanaja Mudaliar.
The meeting concluded at 10.00 am.
An Extra oridinary PTA Meeting was convened on 23rd July 2026 to elect the new office-bearers for the Academic Year 2026-27. They are Mrs. Priyanka Gaonkar as the Secretary, Mrs. Fransquinha Rodrigues as the Joint secretary, Ms. Twinkle Fatarpekar as the Treasurer, (Prof).Dr. Manoj Ibrampurkar as the Jt. Treasurer and Mrs. Shilpa Silimcan as the Internal Auditor.
